Mazda to Start 'Revolution' With Its New Advertising Campaign

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO), known for being a groundbreaking leader in the auto world, introduced a new television commercial called “Revolution” that demonstrates Mazda’s goal to always reach further and never stop innovating. North Park Mazda, a trusted Mazda dealer in San Antonio, TX, also strives to offer the newest, high-demand automotive technologies.

The new advertising spot, “Revolution,” shows how the automaker continues to grow and offer innovative technologies, especially in order to enhance environmental awareness and efficiency. Mazda’s SkyActiv continues to take the auto industry by storm by allowing for a more efficient and enjoyable ride.

In order to break through the Super Bowl clutter, Mazda decided to reach audiences through social networking sites who specifically said they wanted more information about the automaker. “Revolution” will also air on television; however, it will be launched on Mazda’s Facebook and YouTube pages this week.

Mazda always strives to be an automotive leader.

“When we sat down to decide where we were going to debut our new brand message, we knew that, with this being one of the biggest sports and advertising weekends of the year, we needed a new and innovative approach,” said Don Romano, Chief Marketing Officer for MNAO.

The ad challenges drivers to reflect on what they truly look for in a trusted Mazda vehicle.

“If you believe a car is purely transportation, then a Mazda is not the right choice for you,” added Romano. “But if the thrill of a car that hugs the road, a car that reacts to your inputs as if you were hard-wired to it, a car that makes you glance over your shoulder and smile as you walk away from it, then this spot is aimed at you.”

Mazda Awarded Winding Road Best Cars of 2012 for Mazda5, MX-5 Miata

Mazda Brings Award-Winning Cars to San Antonio, TX

Mazda Awarded Winding Road Best Cars of 2012 for Mazda5, MX-5 Miata

North Park Mazda is a premier Mazda dealership in San Antonio, TX. Mazda recently had two of its vehicles, the Mazda5 and MX-5 Miata, recognized as Winding Road’s Best Cars of 2012.

Mazda is breaking all minivan stereotypes with its Mazda5. According to Winding Road, “Minivans aren’t really known for their driving dynamics, but somebody forgot to tell that to Mazda, which wittingly infuses a healthy amount of fun into every vehicle it makes.”

Available with a six-speed manual transmission, the Mazda5 is equipped with several unexpected features. Capable of gaining 157 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque, the vehicle offers a good amount of power. However, it also balances efficiency by offering 21 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles on the highway. Comfortable and compact, the Mazda5 is ideal for an active family on the go.

On the opposite end of the automotive spectrum is the Mazda MX-5 Miata convertible. “Although a few cars came close, no convertible we drove this year was quite good enough to beat out the beloved Miata as our very favorite.  This small, rear-wheel-drive Japanese roadster is just that good,” said Winding Road.

Offering 167 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque with its manual transmission, the vehicle doesn’t get the most power in the convertible class; however, it still offers a fun-to-drive performance. According to Winding Road, “The car challenges you to achieve and maintain speed, and allows for playing close to the dynamic limits without putting anybody’s life in great danger. Besides, most of the fun is in trying to keep the speed up, which is something this little Mazda does very well.”

Both the Mazda5 and MX-5 Miata received high praise from Winding Road. Mazda takes this as a challenge to continue offering quality, head-turning vehicles. North Park Mazda offers several new and used Mazda vehicles in San Antonio, TX. The dealership’s full inventory is available online and on-site.

Mazda to Bring SkyActiv Diesel to US by 2014

Mazda to Bring SkyActiv Diesel to US by 2014

North Park Mazda is a premier Mazda dealership in San Antonio, TX. Mazda plans to bring the SkyActiv-D diesel engine to the U.S. market by 2014. The automaker hopes to differentiate itself even more in the hybrid vehicle division by increasing fuel economy.

Mazda currently offers a turbocharged 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 173 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque in its international market. The automaker believes its engine stands the chance to rise up above the competition.

“We think it’s a good differentiator,” said Jim O’Sullivan, CEO of Mazda North American Operations. He wants customers to think, “Those guys are always doing something a little different.”

Although Mazda has not revealed which model would be given the SkyActiv-D diesel engine, but the new CX-5, designed around Mazda’s SkyActiv philosophy, is a likely candidate. The automaker expects the diesel engine to achieve around 30 percent better fuel economy than the 29 combined mpg of the gas engine.

The auto industry has also speculated that the all-new Mazda6 sedan may offer the SkyActiv-D engine in some markets. However, O’Sullivan has not given any indication if the U.S. will be included in those markets.

According to Automotive News, “Mazda sees Volkwagen’s success with diesel engines in North America and noted that the German automaker has the diesel market to itself – or at least at its price point.”

“Volkswagen, I honestly believe, gets incremental business above and beyond other brands because they do have a diesel, and they buy Volkswagens only because they have it,” said O’Sullivan.

The automaker seems confident in its abilities to break into the diesel category, and dominate with its consistently successful vehicles and concepts.

North Park Mazda offers several new and used Mazda vehicles in San Antonio, TX. The dealership’s full inventory is available online and on-site.

The CX-5 is also capable of towing up to 2,000 pounds and is equipped with an optional all-new all-wheel drive system.

“[T]he CX-5 is a crossover that begs to be driven with passion,” writes Autoblog.

With added efficiency and performance capabilities, the CX-5 is built for the road and designed for a challenge. Whether a driver is hauling cargo long distances or taking a short trip, the CX-5 is prepared for anything. The CX-5’s rigidity and lower weight makes the fun-to-drive vehicle capable of any job, project or adventure.
